The territory of the Kherson region controlled by Russian forces is “actually no longer located” in the jurisdiction of Ukraine, said “RIA Novosti” deputy head of the military-civilian administration Kirill Stremousov.
According to him, the decisions of the Ukrainian authorities “are not a decree for us”, the administration “does not take any statements of the Kyiv regime seriously”. Stremousov also believes that the new head of the Kherson regional military administration, who was appointed this week by Kyiv, will not come to the region.
Kherson region has been under the control of Russian forces since March. A military-civilian administration (VGA) was created in the region, headed by Vladimir Saldo; he had been hospitalized the day before. According to Stremousov, he fell ill as a result of “a severe overexertion, physical and mental.” over the past six months. On August 5, Balance was sent to the Research Institute. N.V. The Ukrainian authorities consider the lost territories to be occupied. In July, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that President Volodymyr Zelensky had ordered the military to return the southern coastal territories to Kyiv's control. On August 4, he appointed Yaroslav Yanushevich head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, dismissing Dmytro Butriy from this position.
In 2013-2014, Yanushevich worked as deputy chairman of the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine. According to ZN.ua, it was lustred in 2014. The official was trusted by former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov (2010 & ndash; 2014).
